Garrett Sager (he/they) is a theater & performance producer, director, dramaturg, and performer based in Hudson, NY.

A double Gemini with a Virgo rising, Garrett dreams big—and is often confronted with the unfortunate limits of time and anxiety.

He is a co-founder of Queer & Now, an unapologetically feminist, trans-inclusive, futuristic performance collective, now in its fourth year.

Garrett has led the devising, production, and touring process of Queer & Now’s two lip-sync physical theater performances—produced at UMass Amherst, Hawks & Reed (Greenfield, MA), and West Chelsea Arts NYC. They are currently organizing and performing in Queer & Now’s digital cabarets, as well as beginning the collective’s research process of a film project about queer legacies and identities.

Garrett has worked as a director, producer, and dramaturg at various professional and educational venues, including OBERON / A.R.T., Boston Playwrights’ Theatre, and UMass Amherst, where he received a B.A. in Theater in 2019.

He also has experience in arts administration, currently working as a Digital Marketing Assistant at the Fisher Center at Bard.

Garrett loves creating projects rooted in celebration, community, and heart. He hopes to create some magic before the world is underwater. Care to join them?
