Garrett Sager (he/they) is a theater & performance producer, director, dramaturg, and performer based in Hudson, NY.

A double Gemini with a Virgo rising, Garrett dreams big—and is often confronted with the unfortunate limits of time and anxiety.

He is a co-founder of Queer & Now, an unapologetically feminist, trans-inclusive, anti-racist futuristic performance collective, now in its fourth year.

Garrett led the devising, production, and touring process of Queer & Now’s two lip-sync physical theater performances—produced at UMass Amherst, Hawks & Reed (Greenfield, MA), and West Chelsea Arts NYC. They are currently producing and performing in Queer & Now’s digital cabarets.

Garrett holds a B.A. in Theater from UMass Amherst, where he was named a 2019 Rising Researcher. Garrett received his B.A. after a strong foundation as a student theater artist in the greater Boston area, with experience working on projects at OBERON / A.R.T., Boston Playwrights’ Theatre, and the Boston Center for the Arts.

He is also an arts administrator, currently working as a Digital Marketing Assistant at the Fisher Center at Bard.

Garrett loves creating projects rooted in celebration, community, and heart. He hopes to create some magic before the world is underwater. Care to join them?
